2020 Season Update

Dear Center City Families,
It's been a few weeks since our last email and we now know that it will be at least a few more weeks before we will consider beginning our season. We are working with other area leagues to start as soon as it is safe to do so. With the exception of seeing our community remain safe and healthy, this is the Board's number one goal!

It may be hard to see right now but we know this will pass and our players will be back on the field playing the game we all love with a community made up of their friends (old and new).

What you can do now
One of the best ways to get ready for baseball season, whatever your child's age, is simple: take advantage of the warmer weather and find a safe place to play a game of catch or wiffle ball with your kiddo.

Some of you may be doing this already. We know that some of you have other challenges which keep you from being able to do this.

One of those challenges may be a lack equipment, or the ability to purchase equipment. Although we can't help with everything, we can help here. Given the exceptional circumstances, the Board has decided to dedicate a portion of our capital campaign funds to buy equipment for any families who needs it.

If you need gloves (adult or kid), balls, or a wiffle ball set, CCLL will buy them and deliver them to your home. Please fill out this request form to make a request for equipment and we'll take care of the rest.

Registration - Costs and refunds
Given this unprecedented situation, Center City is waiving our registration fees for the upcoming season.

If you already registered and paid a fee, please let us know if you would like a refund. If we don't hear from you, we will consider your fee a tax deductible donation. If you have not registered, we still encourage you to do so. Your registration will allow us to contact you more easily as soon as we are ready to begin baseball activities. With better information about who will be playing, will be able to buy shirts and equipment to be ready for the start of the season.

Please note, there is a $3.00 registration service fee charged by our web hosting company which we can't waive. Please let us know if that is a hardship and we'll refund you that charge.

Finally, if you have the financial ability, you can still chose to make a donation to CCLL.

A reminder - a community is here for you - Burlington ONE Mutual Aid
In case you are not aware, many members of our community have come together to lend each other a hand in this time of need. The Old North End Mutual Aid group is here to help if you need extra help with deliveries , shelter, child care, pet-related need, lawn care, automotive care, emotional support, etc.. To get help. please fill out this simple Request Form:

More to come from Center City
We will be in touch soon with another update. Please reach out to me or any of our board members with questions or suggestions. Please also forward this email to anyone you think might benefit.

Like you, we can't wait for some normalcy to return and for the things we love (like baseball) to begin again.
